ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS: PROJECTS THAT HARM WILDLIFE

A long term and disturbing trend toward wildlife destruction is evident in projects by the Army Corps of Engineers!

The ACOE is failing to incorporate safeguards for wildlife for its many terrain and watercourse-altering projects – or only implement safeguards after long, tiresome battles – or litigation – with environmental groups.

THIS HAS TO STOP!

Wildlife – including birds (migrating and resident) and waterfowl (swans, ducks, geese, heron, ibis, cormorant, etc.), small and large mammals (deer, raccoon, opossum, fox, groundhog, etc.), reptiles and amphibians (frogs, turtles, snakes, etc.) – who struggle to survive during and after habitat alteration projects by the Army Corps of Engineers, NEED A VOICE!

THE ACOE MUST INCLUDE WILDLIFE REHABILITATORS AND WILDLIFE VETERINARIANS (OR WILDLIFE BIOLOGISTS WITH PROVEN “NO KILL” CONSERVATION POSITIONS TOWARD WILDLIFE) IN ALL PLANNING STAGES FOR POTENTIALLY HABITAT_DESTRUCTIVE PROJECTS IN THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES.
